Lakshman Jhula

Lakshman Jhula is the main tourist attraction among the tourists who travel Rishikesh. This is basically a suspension iron bridge that feels like a swing while walking over it Lakshman Jhula was constructed in the year 1929. It is named after Laxman, brother of Lord Rama and it is is flowing below it and you can enjoy the fast flow of river below while crossing the bridge.

Ram Jhula

Another one is Ram Jhula named after lord Rama and situated near Lakshman Jhula. Ram Jhula Bridge was recently constructed between Shivanand Ashram and Sawarg Ashram.

The other places in Rishikesh are Raghunath Mandir and Triveni Ghat and are considered very sacred. Tri means three, so the Triveni Ghat is a junction point of three rivers Ganga, Jamuna and Saraswati. Al;so the Bharat Mandir which is regarded as the oldest temple in Rishikesh, dedicated to Lord Vishnu but also contains images that are linked with the worship of Lord Shiva.
